Aging in varying environment
نویسنده
چکیده
An impact of environment on mortality rates is often modeled by a proportional hazards model. This model describes the memory-less property, when the mortality rate at a given instant of time depends only on current environment and does not depend on a history. In the presence of aging (degradation) this assumption is usually unrealistic and historydependent models should be considered. The simplest stochastic degradation model is the accelerated life model. We discuss both models and their generalizations for the cohort setting and apply the developed approach to the period setting for the case when environment (stress) is modeled by functions with switching points (jumps in the level of stress). We also consider notions of individual and population aging in a variable environment and suggest some stochastic measures suitable for the corresponding stochastic ordering.

Transient Nonlinear Vibration of Randomly Excited Cylindrical Shallow Panels in Non Aging Viscous Medium
In this paper, the nonlinear transient vibration of a cylindrical shallow panel under lateral white noise excitation is studied. The panel is in contact with a non aging viscoelastic medium. Since the external load is a time varying random wide band process, deterministic and conventional approaches cannot be used. Instead, the evolution of the probability density function of the response is in...
متن کاملCompensating the gaps caused by aging: Analyzing the main themes of physical activity in the neighborhood environment from the perspective of the older adults(A phenomenological approach)
Introduction: Physical activity and aerobic exercises have anti-anxiety and anti-depressant effects in compensating for the problems and gaps caused by psychological issues among the older adult. Epidemiological studies show that physical activity is related to better mental health and flexibility against mental distress, such as depression and anxiety symptoms. Therefore, the purpose of this r...

Objectives: Composite surface sealants were introduced aiming to prevent or decrease the discoloration and microleakage of composite restorations. This study sought to assess the effect of aging on discoloration of two composite surface sealants. Methods: In this experimental study, 24 samples were fabricated of Fortify Plus and BisCover LV composite surface sealants (10mm in diameter and 1mm ...
متن کاملEffect of Varying Protein Levels and Preservation Methods and Duration on Egg Production Performance and External Egg Qualities of Japanese Quails in a Semi-Arid Environment
The study was conducted to determine the effect of varying protein levels and preservation method on external egg qualities of Japanese quails. A total of 180 birds were randomly allotted into three dietary treatments in a completely randomized design (CRD) replicated six times. A factorial arrangement of 3 × 4 × 4 which involves 3 protein levels (15, 20 and 25% crude protein), 4 storage method...
